Cedar Point promotes their 2010 season with integrated marketing efforts

For the past few months, the thunder::tech team has worked with Cedar Point to promote their 2010 season with a variety of integrated marketing tactics. 

Cedar Point wanted to promote their newest, most-expensive water flume ride to date, Shoot the Rapids. They also charged us with the task of enhancing their online presence including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and foursquare.

Our team provided media relations and social media strategy, which included messaging, promotion and management of their social media presence. In addition to designing and developing their Facebook landing page, we also created the Shoot the Rapids game, where players must navigate the raging rivers in the hopes of winning tickets to Cedar Point.

At the end of July, we launched the Pier to Point media tour in partnership with Positively Cleveland, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Toledo Zoo, which involved both traditional media and bloggers from the Chicago market. Tour guests spent three days visiting popular destinations in Northeast Ohio including Cedar Point, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, West Side Market and the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo.

Cedar Point’s online presence is continuing to grow and will soon hit a milestone of 500,000 Facebook fans. Be sure to follow Cedar Point on Facebook so you can be one of the first to hear their upcoming announcement.
